TIDE data for the July 14-16 interval
As with many of the particle instruments, TIDE observations were saturated
during the energetic particle portion of the July 14-16 interval. See
overview image below.
Saturation begins at approximately 1100UT on July 14th and continues to
approximately 1815UT on July 15th.
Usable data are available from
1815UT to 2230UT 15July2000:
2230UT 15July2000 to 0415UT 16July2000: Ion outflow at high altitudes
0325UT to 0415UT 16July2000: Perigee pass with downflowing O+ and
outflowing conics
At Pergiee, there are two general plasma populations, cold nightside
downflows and later the in pass, more energetic outflowing conics
