TIDE data for the July 14-16 interval

As with many of the particle instruments, TIDE observations were saturated during the intense energetic particle fluxes during the July 14-16 interval. See overview image below.

Saturation begins at approximately 1100UT on July 14th and continues to approximately 1815UT on July 15th.

Usable data are available from:

  • 1815UT to 2230UT 15July2000:
  • 2230UT 15July2000 to 0415UT 16July2000: Ion outflow at high altitudes
  • 0325UT to 0415UT 16July2000: Perigee pass with downflowing O+ and outflowing conics
  • 0638UT 16July2000 and onward: beginning with dawnside bidirectional, mirroring distributions and then higher-altitude outflows
